Fees and Charges for Elderly Health Centres (with effect from 13 December 2021)

  1. Elders aged 65 falling into the following categories are eligible for the rates of charges applicable to Eligible Persons :
    1. holders of Hong Kong Identity Card issued under the Registration of Persons Ordinance (Chapter 177), except those who obtained their Hong Kong Identity Card by virtue of a previous permission to land or remain in Hong Kong granted to them and such permission has expired or ceased to be valid; or
    2. other persons approved by the Director of Health.
  2. For other clients who are aged 65, the rates of charges applicable to Non-eligible Persons will apply. The Director of Health will determine the eligibility of clients to whom the rates of charges will apply.
  3. The Director of Health has powers to require a deposit of part or the whole of the fees likely to be incurred by any client.
  4. Unless otherwise specified or agreed by the Director of Health, all charges specified are payable in advance or on demand by the Director of Health.
  5. The Director of Health has powers, in his discretion to waive, reduce or remit the whole or any part of the fees chargeable at any institution under his control or for the service of a Consultant or a Medical Officer outside a Government institution.
  6. Fees charged for Eligible Persons :

    (a) Annual fee for each person enrolled at an elderly health centre for health screening (excluding mammography) and health promotion services $110
    (b) Each mammography $225
    (c) Each attendance for medical treatment $50
    (d) Each attendance for injection and dressing $19

    Note: The charge at (c) above includes, where appropriate, the cost of prescriptions, X-ray [other than (b) for mammography] and laboratory investigations.

  7. Fees charged for Non-Eligible Persons :

    (b) Each mammography $510
    (c) Each attendance for medical treatment $335
    (d) Each attendance for injection and dressing $100

    Note:The charge at (c) above includes, where appropriate, the cost of prescriptions, X-ray [other than (b) for mammography] and laboratory investigations.

Fees will be waived for Comprehensive Social Security Allowance (CSSA) recipients and those with medical waiver.
